Hi, i was wondering if you could help me. I heard a story of a pilot who whilst at altitude lost an engine ( i think it stopped working because of the extreme temperature or something), then after a short while the other did to, so he drifted the plane away from some mountains and dropped to a lower/warmer altitude and was then able to reignite one engine and then the other and continue on his way. I believe this manoever was named after the pilot? Have you any recollection of this k (more...) |

| This was an overnight flight, which included dinner and breakfast. The meals on Continental are really good, compared to other airlines I've flown with. The plane was awesome - every person had a personal screen on the back of the seat in front of them, and you had your pick of movies to watch, in addition to games and music channels! The flight attendants are very courteous, and the plane was in good condition and clean. | |
| Very pleasantly surprised with the generous legroom and width of the seats. The food was simple but who wants fancy food anyway. We got there safely and on time. What more could you ask for. | |

I had the worst experience in the Alitalia flight from Milan to Delhi. Generally Alitalia flight service is bad. Nothing is served except the lunch or dinner for long flights. Nobody cares even if you ask for assistance. Often food and drink get over and you do not have any option but to take whatever is left. If you ask juice they serve soda and if you ask gain they shout at you! Well, I never had this kind of experience in any other flight... The only advantage I found is cheap tickets. |

| The airlines is the worst airlines I have flown in yeaes. They lost my bag on a non-stop flight, and it hasn't been seen since. I spent seven days on a cruise ship without anything I packed including my SCUBA gear. they ruined my whole vacation and they have only sent a bogas claim form stating that they will only pay for items I have receipes for. I guess I won't get reinbursted for my underwear or socks and stuff like that because I didn't think of saving the receipes.I never knew that underwe (more...) | |
| I checked one suitcase with America West, and expected it to arrive at my destination. It is still missing after nine days. They tell me that I will not be compensated for thirty days. So, as a result of their negligence, I, a poor student, must take out a student loan, and ultimately pay interest because some idiot lost my luggage. | |

I mistakenly purchased USair ticket online thinking the charge was for two tickets, turns out it was only for one ticket .....and the cost of two was prohibitive.....asked for a refund on Sept 16, they refused ...said you purchased this on the 13th and we won''t refund your money.... American Express told me it would not be charged until Oct. 4th ....... US Air said they would keep $100. of the $270.50 if AND WHEN I choose to fly with them again.... I made a complaint to Aviation Con (more...) |

Thicker N'Theives. I rated this airline 1 but wanted to rate it at 40 below. Left Lax for King Salmon, Alaska for a six week kayak trip in the Katmai. Upon arrival found the top of my barrel pack missing with a piece of cardboard taped over it and the contents gone. Being the stoic individuals they are Alaska Air was totally unconcerned. I had no choice but to immediately return to Los Angeles. Hope the Ceo of Alaska Air enjoys his new North Face down bag, MSR filter and Dragonfly stove, Sys (more...) |

This is a case where the actions of the airline were so egregiously bad that they had to be taken to Court in New York for their actions. The passenger succeeded in his claim although the judge forgot (writing judgment some days later) what the amount claimed had been. This is the brief in the New York State Supreme Court on appeal claiming the original sum actually lost and punitive damages. Consumer Reports Travel Newsletter requested permission to print the story but went out of bu (more...) |

| Fly 50-100k miles on AA every year for the last 4. When I pay for the 1st class upgrade I really can't stand terrible service. It's funny, the service in 1st class is either outstanding or terrible. This afternoon the fellow next to me spilled my drink on the floor. No problem. I said lets wait and find out how long it takes a FA to ask us if we need anything. She and another FA spent 1.5 hours talking in the galley (we could hear them) and never came out to even ask if anyone needed anything. AA wake up! First class shouldn't mean no service. | |
| Had clothing stolden from my luggage. | |
| I love American Airlines. I love the extra room in coach, I love how competent the staff is, and how clean they keep their planes. For Trans-Atlantic flights, I wouldn't fly with anyone else! | |

Alitalia: Flyer Beware Last Summer on a trip to Italy and Israel, we flew Alitalia. Due to the long flight and personal physical conditions we upgraded to business class. Actually, we wanted business class only to Italy and then coach to Israel, but we were told by Alitalia reservation representative that we couldn't do that. However, given the significant additional costs, we asked Alitalia representatives about the difference between business and coach. They repeatedly told us th (more...) |

| We got to Orlando International at 11 am. First, while checking in, we found out that my boyfriend's flight had been changed, without notification. He was supposed to depart on the same flight as me at 1:42 pm, but they changed it to 7:30 am without notifying him. So, they were lucky by getting him onto my flight. Then we got delayed for an hour and a half. Which was cool, not a problem. We boarded the plane, taxied down the runway, then got delayed for another hour, and had to sit on the (more...) | |
| My daughter and I took AC flight 44 in hospitality class from honolulu to vancouver and i just want to commend air canada's flight attendents on this flight. They made sure that we were comfortable, they made sure that we had something to drink at all times, the food was exceptional and the flight was totally awesome because of the extra effort that these flight attendents made. They were very polite and courteous and made us feel comfortable. Thanks again Air Canada for making our vacation relaxing. | |

they lost one of my bags.at islamabad airport there desk said it had been put on the wrong flight. i got the bag back after a week.but they would not deliver it and would not pay for the 130 kilometer trip i made to collect it. know emirates customer services openly lie to me and make up excuses how others r to blame. |

Help, I am an Alien - Get me out of Here! BA has been described as the worlds favourite airline............and by a process of logical deduction, my feelings towards this ramshackle organisation could be defined as " an out of this world hostility" in such proportions that I would certainly qualify for extra terrestrial status. Well it is true that I write this at 37000 feet and although that doesn't make me lunar, BA certainly makes me sense that Si (more...) |

| We sat on the runway in Boston for an hour-and-a-half while waiting for baggage to be loaded (I blame the rumored strike/sick-out) but made good time in the air, arriving at our transfer in Atlanta, GA five minutes before the continuing flight was scheduled to leave. Even though about two dozen of the passengers on our plane were scheduled to take that connecting flight, they did not hold it for the fifteen minutes it would have taken for us to transfer. Instead, we were told to wait on standb (more...) | |

We arrived at the airport with plenty of time to check in and get to our gate, only to be informed that our reservations had been cancelled. So much for forward thinking. It turns out that this was part of a systemwide glitch that Delta's reservations system experienced due to a programmer error that did not allow for the load that the system would experience around the holidays due to reservation changes caused by storms, Santa, and other natural disasters. Luckily, the very friendly (more...) |

| One connection through Detroit. Northwest booked me for a 5 hour (!) layover, but happily I was able to fly on standby one hour after arriving in Detroit. The service was very pleasant and no lost bags, because I didn't check any. This experience was better than my first flight and therefore Northwest went up in my estimation. | |
|
Northwest routed me through two cities instead of the one that I expected, after changing my ticket no less than three times from when I made my initial reservation. They also lost my bags, although there was a strike/sick-out going on that week among the baggage handlers so it might not be their fault. They're also stingy on food. But they were pleasant and got me where I needed to go on time. |
